Rotaractors across Zone 8 are again leading the way when it comes to collaboration and the sharing of knowledge and information, hosting training for all Rotaract members on June 18-19.

Continuing to use the online platform of zoom has allowed all Rotaractors in Australia, Timor Leste, New Zealand and the 11 Pacific countries that make up our zone equal access to resources and a network of support ahead of the 2022-23 Rotaract year.

The brainchild of Rotaract Australia Chair Laura Telford and Rotaract Oceania Chair Becky Giblin this opportunity offers all members the opportunity to learn and grow as they explore what the new Rotaract year has to offer.

Rotaract Australia Chair Laura Telford said it was a wonderful chance to meet and learn from new people.

“Since COVID-19 Rotaract Australia has held online training for all incoming Rotaractors but this year we are extending that opportunity to all Rotaractors in the zone. Not only to attend but be part of the organising team so we can ensure our training is relevant and inclusive to all.

“Training is always a fun experience but to be able to share that with passionate Rotaractors who each have different life experiences and knowledge will be so valuable for everyone – no matter the role they will hold in our organisation next year,” she said.

The program includes all the usual training staples but offers exposure to international opportunities and speakers in a way that has never happened before. The training will be closed by Rotary International President Nominee Gordon McInally and will be the first time many Rotaractors will have met a Rotary leader of this kind.

As the training is online curious Rotarians are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of this Rotaract specific training to gain a deeper understanding of the motivations and perspectives of Rotaractors right across the zone.

This training is being sponsored by Rotary International and is free for all Rotaractors (and interested Rotarians) to attend.
